Manifesto · So Do Good

Doing good isn't a slogan. It's the brief.

Every project starts with a question worth answering, brings data into the equation and ends with us doing a little better than before.

The plan is simple: put data to work where it does good. Breaking down barriers that stand between people and their wellbeing with data as the medium.
01 · what "doing good" means

Aim the work at what matters.

Doing good, here, is literal: pouring effort and knowledge into the things that actually matter. Projects that don't aim to make financial profit. Projects that aim to make the earth, the public, the general interest profit. The measure of success isn't how clever the solution is, it's whether someone is genuinely better off once implemented.

02 · why data is the medium

Data as the tool, not the goal.

Nobody is better off because a number exists. They're better off when that number changes a decision, settles an argument, or makes something fairer. So I treat data the way a writer treats words, a way to say something true, clearly, to someone who needs it. Here's what the numbers say. Here's what we do about it.

This started long before it had a name.

dogoda didn't start in a strategy session, nor in 2022.

It started around age six, in front of a beige tower, with something very simple: a very deep interest in the computer. Everything since is based on this simple thing: curiosity. It started with just having fun; over time fun got company from knowledge, and eventually arrived a will to do good.

The whole thing, in four words

So, let's do good.
